United Kingdom-based equipment provider JMC McIntyre is now manufacturing Wrights Cable Strippers at its Nottingham, England, facility, complementing its existing Eurostrip range of cable stripping machinery.

Since June 2023, JMC McIntyre's team of engineers has “worked hard to reverse engineer the respected yellow and blue ‘Super Strippers’ and, following an agreement with Wrights Recycling Machinery, are now able to sell them under the McIntyre name.”

“It’s an exciting time for us, and the team have done a great job at making the McIntyre Wrights Super Strippers, which I believe will continue to be one of the most reliable cable stripping machines on the market,” says Phillip Pownall, managing director of JMC McIntyre.

The recently introduced product line includes: 1) the McIntyre Wrights 170 Super Stripper, which JMC McIntyre says has the capacity to strip cables from 3 to 75 millimeters (0.1 to three inches) thick; 2) the McIntyre 300 Super Stripper, which can handle cables in the 15 to 120 mm (.6 to 4.75 inches) range; 3) and the McIntyre 600 Super Stripper, which the firm says can strip cables from 50 to 155 mm (2 to 6 inches).

JMC McIntyre also has the Super Stripper 600XL in development, noting that model will be capable of stripping cables up to 260 mm (10.25 inches) thick, making it the largest machine to join the product line.
